Outside at the Zoo

On Sunday we went to the zoo.  It was too nice outside not to!  We saw all of the outdoor animals, a nice break from the winter visits.  We packed a picnic lunch and enjoyed the sunshine!  It was a great weekend for sure!

Flying a Kite

On Saturday it was a nice and windy day out so we took the opportunity to fly a kite at the farm.  "Papa fly kite up high" is what Brody will tell you if you ask him about it  We were reading the Snoopy Alphabet book before bed tonight and when we got to 'K' with a picture of a kite, this is what he remembered.

Cute Cousins

There was a time when we would probably beg Claire and Brody to hold hands for a cute picture, but Friday afternoon they held hands all on their own and it was the cutest sight!  Soon enough I am sure Max will be in there too.

Playing Outside with C, M & B

On Friday I took a bit of time off in the afternoon because it was so warm, Barry was around, and it was my birthday.  Could there be any more reasons to want to go outside and play with Brody, Claire and Max?  We played outside enjoying bubbles, swings, slides, and running around like crazy.  Brody and Claire held hands so many times (all on their own) it cracked me up.  I'll do a separate post of those photos:)

Camera and Trains

This week I got a new lens for my camera.  I came home with Brody at about 6 and sat him down with his trains so I could practice.  It was a little tricky to get what I wanted since the lighting at that hour in my house is not the best plus Brody moves fast.  I think I did an ok job with my first few shots, but there's definite room for improvement!  I'm excited to practice more!  I should probably note that I was shooting in manual mode, no flash since I do not have one.

First Flight with Daddy 3.11.2012

The pictures just about say it all.  Brody enjoyed his first flight experienced piloted by his daddy.  What the pictures don't say is that as soon as we landed Brody was saying "No door open, no fall out.  Daddy shut it." Translation: Daddy shut and latched the airplane door before taking off so that we wouldn't fall out.  Who told him this?  No one to my knowledge!  The random things he picks up on never cease to amaze me.  Then yesterday and today he was talking about "fly in A-pain" while making motions with his arm and hand way up high in the air.  He thinks daddy is going to fly us to Arizona, so he might be disappointed to find out it'll be some other pilot with a commercial flight full of strangers.  He also thinks GG lives in the sky now because we talk about flying to visit GG in Arizona.  He was excited to fly over the Papa's farm on Sunday too!
