Barry, Brody, my friend Kelly and I all went to the Minnesota State Fair on Sunday for a few hours. We some some moo-cows and some horses, but as you can see the chocolate shake was really the best part!

Camping in West Salem, WI
Enjoying the playground.
Sean looks a bit worried for Brody's safety!
Never too young for yard games.
Of course he loved the golf cart!
Last weekend we went to Wisconsin and camped with Sean and Heather in their camper. They were brave enough to take Brody all day Friday and set up camp while we were at work. After work, we rode the Harley down and joined them. Brody was already sleeping when we got there and Sean and Heather claimed that he did great all day, even taking 2 naps. They say he whines a lot less when we're not around, go figure! He slept from 7:30pm to 7:30am the first night, then 7:30pm to nearly 8:30am the second night. Wow, we need to go camping more often! I think the combo of playing all day outside and the loud white noise of the camper fan really helped him sleep. The campground had great playground equipment and pools, including a shallow toddler pool. Brody got to swim all three days, we just didn't get any photos. Overall the camping with Brody was a great success and we all had a good time. Did I mention the great bakery we went to for breakfast on Saturday?! Oh and Brody is really starting to get along with puppies. The previous weekend he warmed up to Uncle Zach and Aunt Aimee's puppy, and while camping he was just fine with Uncle Sean and Aunt Heather's puppy! Progress :)
Wednesday my mom had surgery on both feet. GG has been at the farm while Barry's working down there this week. Next week Grandma Cindy will be down all week to watch Brody and I am sure they will both have lots of fun together! Then after Labor Day Omi will hopefully be feeling better and back with the kiddos again.
Agenda for this weekend is Webster Harvest Days, State Fair, and I even get to babysit my niece and nephew, Claire and Max for a bit. Should be a fun weekend!

From Sick to Yum, Yum Time
Last Sunday, August 14th, Brody woke up with fever. Towards the end of the day when he still had a fever of 104.9 we decided to take him to Urgent Care in case he needed antibiotics. He was all game for taking his temperature at home, but when he saw the doc at the clinic he went crazy crying!
Last Wednesday was Uncle Zach's birthday so he came over for dinner since he was in town working. Here's the attempt at Brody's bedtime story!
My friend Katie made Brody some treats, aka applesauce with some sugar. He had a bit for dessert and said "yum" after every bite. He quickly finished and said "more more". I think he liked it.
Last weekend we went camping in Wisconsin with Sean and Heather, pictures to come tomorrow perhaps.

The Mieska Family Photos
GG with all of the great-grandbabies
.
Grandma Mieska with her grandkids, minus Zac in Florida.
GG with her grandkids and their spouses, just missing Zac and Amber.
Last Saturday, August 13, nearly the whole Mieska crew got together (we were missing cousin Zac and his wife, Amber and Uncle Steve and his wife, Peggy). 6 came in from Florida 6 from Iowa, what a crew! This is the first time all of GG's great-grandbabies were together. As you can tell, a photo shoot of 13 kids is not easy!
Snapshots from Last Saturday
Finn & Brody, 2 weeks age difference.
Brody sharing his baby frozen yogurt cone with Paco.
Letting Auntie H have a bite.
A close up of the great-grandkid photoshoot. I thought this was a fun one of Matthew, the only "great" that smiled through every photo.
Pondering the meaning of life or wishing he was in the water, I can't remember which.

Family
While we were in Ely, Aimee did a Park family photo shoot. She was nice enough to take photos of just the 3 of us as well (Barry, Brody, Bethanie). The results were great! I am making one into my very first 16x20 canvas print to hang on the wall. A big thank you to Aimee for taking and editing the photos!

Ely Visit
Throwing rocks in Lake Burntside with Grandpa Steve.
Lunch time with Uncle Zach.
Making lunch with Aunt Aimee.
Hanging out on the house boat with Grandma Cindy.
He was screaming "ALL DONE". Brody wanted to go swimming, but Burntside is a bit chilly.
The 18-month-old version of tubing.
Catching fish on Burntside.
The Park boys - Uncle Eric, Brody, Daddy, Grandpa Steve, Uncle Zach
Brody's very first fishing adventure. He (with Grandpa Steve's help) caught 4 fish!
He loves to drive the boat!
Tuesday night we headed up to Ely for a visit with Barry's family. Steve, Cindy, Zach, Aimee, Eric, and Gypsy (the puppy) were all there for the week. Brody got to drive the boats, ride in the boats, fish, throw rocks, swim, and all sorts of other exciting stuff. Don't let the pictures fool you, I was there too!
