Growing

Brody sure is growing...not in size really (that I can tell), but in personality and abilities! It's so fun to watch! Last week he discovered rolling from his back to belly, this week we can't get him to stop! It's the first thing he does when you turn your back. In his crib, he's always on his stomach now, it must be the first thing he does when we close the door. His newest way to make us laugh is sticking his tongue out and blowing raspberries and bubbles! It's the first thing he does when I go pick him up in the morning. He's also starting to giggle more and we love his voice:)

Father's Day

Happy Father's Day
Look, I can hold my own bottle!
Rolling over peeps!
I like to turn and lay this way, it makes me feel taller!

Yesterday was Father's Day, the first one for Barry! He said he had a good day, he got to pick out a new motorcycle helmet for his upcoming 10 day trip in July, what could be better than that? Saturday Brody rolled from his back to his tummy while my mom and I were watching him! The little bugger sure is cute! He's getting better at sleeping at night with the help of a little sleep training. It never ceases to amaze me how quickly infants can pick up on things like getting themselves to sleep at night time! Granted he usually is in a completely different location if we go check on him, but hey, he's sleeping! He also started holding his own 8 oz tall drop-in bottle and it's so cute to see his little chubby hands hang on to it:)

New Camera: Rice Cereal, Bath Time and More

Bath Time Fun!
Playtime with Kelly:)
Playing with my new red apple that used to be Barry's toy when he was little!

I'm just happy.

Yum food, feed me!

We got a new camera and we just love it. It's amazing how big of a difference we noticed immediately! On June 8th Brody got some rice cereal for the first time and he seemed to do pretty well. He kind of lapped it up like a puppy so it was pretty funny! That led to bath time of course:) He also started sticking his tongue out a ton, it's pretty hilarious.

Ely Visit

Grandpa Steve with Brody having a good time before our dinner/Brody's bedtime.

Grandma Cindy with a tuckered out Brody!

Brody sportin his Little Red Canoe shirt, just perfect for an Ely visit.

Last weekend we headed up to Ely for a short visit. The weather was nice so we got to go on a nice long walk enjoying the great outdoors. We also got to see Steve and Cindy's new finished house on the lake and we (minus Brody) got to enjoy the new sauna with Eric. Maybe next time we'll take Brody for his first boat ride!

Here's where Uncle Sean and Boss are both in the photo! My mom's camera actually captured the shot. This reminds me of the days where we foolishly thought we'd try to ride the older calves in the shed....like they would've ever been still enough for a kid to do that!
Before Brody was born, Barry said that one of the things he was looking forward to most was Brody sleeping on his chest and he showed me a picture of Josh with Claire doing that very thing that was so adorable. I've gotten a few shots of him doing this and now I have one of me! His mouth wide open when he's sound asleep makes me smile!

4 Months

Hey peeps, look at me, I can stand!
Hey peeps, look at me, I can float! (Actually Boss, the dog was in this frame a second earlier.)

Help people, I'm getting squished!

Ah, life is good people!

Brody is 4 months old today. Barry took him to his check-up and he weighed in at 15lbs 8oz (50-75%), he is 25" long (50%), and his head is 16 1/2" (50%). We also confirmed what I discovered a week ago....Brody has teeth, 2 lower canines to be specific. Crazy, but true! He is doing really well, getting more and more interactive all the time, he talks back to us, laughs, grabs on to all sorts of stuff, puts all sorts of stuff in his mouth, drools constantly (with the added bonus of spitting up), and is really watching things with curiosity. Tonight he played with this colorful cube for a long time!
We spent the weekend in Wisconsin visiting Sean and Heather with my parents. Brody did pretty well on the car rides. All 7 of us managed to fit in Heather's car with the stroller strapped to the top so we went to Chocolate Fest in Burlington, WI. Chocolate, need I say more? It was a fun weekend for sure!
