Brody loves the pool now! He went swimming with Grandma Annie, Great Aunts Sue and Bonnie, GG, Jesse, Andrew, Claire, and Everleigh on Friday at Scott and Ami's pool and he sat in a crab floaty just happy as can be! Then on Saturday I went to Cleary Lake with Brody, Audrey, and Kelly and he enjoyed it much more than my first visit there with him. Sunday we had a play date at the pool with the 4 kiddos again and this time the parents all got to go! It was a lot of fun and a perfect day. Getting 4 kids all in a photo in a pool is a bit tricky (not to mention the parents too), only Jesse and Claire cooperated. The picture of them outside the pool worked a bit better.
Brody had his 6 month check-up on Monday and will actually be 6 months on Sunday. He weighs 18# and is 26 inches, just right around the 50th percentile. He took the shots just fine again and is healthy as can be. He started eating oatmeal with banana cereal this week and just loves it, next week will be sweet potatoes. Last night he slept through the night (7pm to 6am), what a dream! He has been going down for bed awake at 7pm and then usually getting up once around 4am to eat, then up officially around 6:30am. He rolls over (and then spits up often) a ton, you can't keep him on his back unless you pin him down. He's also getting much better at sitting for longer periods of time, he just gets really excited about something and then jerks backwards! I think he'll be in dreamland the day he learns to walk along furniture because he absolutely loves standing up when you hold his hands or in a walker or in a jumperoo.
