Here is Brody's birth announcement plus the photos that we used thanks to Josh and Whitney!

Here are a few of the pictures Josh and Whitney took on February 14 for the birth announcement. These aren't the ones we used, but I'll post those with the actual birth announcement later.

Little Man

Week 2 with the little man has gone pretty well. We got to visit with Great Grandma Mieska on Skype and she "finally" got to see him in action. It's not the same as in person, but I think it's pretty darn close. We had Josh and Whitney come over and take newborn photos of Brody for his birth announcement. The photos turned out so well, just as great as paying a professional! I'm excited to get the birth announcement all done to send out!

1st Trip to the Farm

Brody had his first farm trip on Saturday! He seemed to get along just fine being held by Grandpa Jeff, Grandma Annie, Great Grandma Docken, Great Grandpa Docken, Great Aunt Sue, and Great Aunt Julie. A year from now maybe he can go outside and actually visit the animals and go sledding.

Check up & Claire's Visit

Brody had another check up with the Pediatrician on Wednesday. He's gained another 3 oz since Monday, so he's up to 7# 3oz and looking great! Now we don't have to go back until the 2 month check up in April, yay!

Claire and Grandma Annie came over on Thursday to help out and hang out. We did a little photo shoot of Claire and Broden in matching guitar outfits that Grandma Annie picked out, so cute! Claire seems to be more aware of Brody now that he's not just a big bundle of blanket, but I don't think either of them were too sure about the photo op:)

1st Day with Barry back at work...

Today is the first day Barry went back to work and it's just Broden and Bethanie!

I'd like to think I'm doing pretty well...I've managed to take a shower, do most of the dishes, work on a couple loads of laundry, take out trash, clean up the mountain of Kleenex from my wonderful cold last night, change a bunch of diapers and Brody's outfit, feed Brody, feed myself, and pump.

So it's mid-afternoon and I find myself wondering 2 things:

1. How is it possible that a baby gains an ounce a day when they poop every time you feed them and every time you change them?

2. Why is it that a baby blanket can be so unbelievably soft, but yet there doesn't seem to exist any adult size blanket that comes close to being that soft and cozy? Someone should really get on fixing that!

Here are a few more pictures. Broden had a visit from a nurse at home today. After losing just over 10% of birth weight, he was down to 6# 13oz at the pediatrician's office on Friday, but today the nurse weighed him and he's back to 7# even....yay, no more worries, that's a 3 oz gain in 3 days! It's Barry's last day home before he's back to the reality of work so we're staying in and snuggling all day as it snows outside.

Lil' Man

Here are a few more pictures of our Little Man in his first few days home! Grandma Annie and Grandpa Jeff, and Grandma Cindy and Grandpa Steve, Heather, Sean, Josh and Whitney have all spent plenty of snuggle time with him!

Introducing BRP

Broden Riley Park was born at 6:20pm on 2/1/2010. He was 7 pounds 10 oz, 21 inches long. Big little dude! Everyone is doing well and we love, love, love little Brody!
