Cute Week

Picture explanations:
Brody all tired while eating and making a great mess while he rubs his eyes!
Brody sitting up, which he's still not really good at. He gets so excited and then flails backwards. Perhaps he'll skip the whole sitting up milestone and head towards the standing instead.
Brody getting his manicure from Grandma Annie (usually required twice a week at the rate his nails grow). My hand isn't steady or quick enough for this, thanks for keeping him properly groomed mom!

Time Away

A post without Brody?!
Over the 4th of July, Barry went on a bike trip out West. They put over 3000 miles on in 9 days on the bikes. They came back with some pretty great photos of the Badlands, Black Hills, the Bighorn Mountains, Glacier National Park and Yellowstone National Park!
My getaway was a Twins game with Audrey at the new Target Field! While this was a much shorter trip and commute, it was a lot of fun! The weather was just perfect and I highly recommend taking in a game.

Weekend Fun

We went to a nearby lake last weekend and sat at the beach enjoying the warm weather. We tried to dip Brody in the water a bit, but he was not that excited about it! Then Sunday night Barry's brother and sister-in-law (Zach and Aimee) got stuck in Minneapolis because of a cancelled flight. We worked it out to go see them for a bit and they got a chance to meet Brody!

Happy 4th of July

Here are the last pics from the 4th of July weekend. My mom and I tried to get a good picture of B in his red, white, and blue...he doesn't always cooperate.
On another note, he cut a bottom tooth! I'm not exactly sure when, but I noticed it today and I'm excited to show Barry who gets home from his bike trip Saturday night! Add that to his weird bottom fangs that are poking out the front :)

More 4th of July Pictures

4th of July

The Brodster is 5 months old! Barry is on a 10 day motorcycle trip out West so Brody and I went camping at Bluff Valley with my mom and sister. On Saturday Sue and Grandma came out and "babysat" for awhile so we could go tubing down the river. It was such a perfectly hot day for it! Brody got a new whale pool to cool off, he's just not in love with it yet. I think on a good day when he's not quite as hot and tired, he'll have loads of fun in it :)
I'll post some pics for now and then maybe some more tomorrow.

Growing

Brody sure is growing...not in size really (that I can tell), but in personality and abilities! It's so fun to watch! Last week he discovered rolling from his back to belly, this week we can't get him to stop! It's the first thing he does when you turn your back. In his crib, he's always on his stomach now, it must be the first thing he does when we close the door. His newest way to make us laugh is sticking his tongue out and blowing raspberries and bubbles! It's the first thing he does when I go pick him up in the morning. He's also starting to giggle more and we love his voice:)
