Last weekend Brody and I met up with Barry in Hinckley. We stayed with a friend and her family (Katie, Shawn, Jaedyn, and Gabby) and Barry attempted to get a deer bow hunting. Brody loved having Jaedyn and Gabby constantly paying attention to him!

Swimming Lessons and Iowa Visit
We had swimming lessons on Saturday morning before heading to Iowa for the weekend. You're probably wondering why we're in swimming lessons with an 8-month-old. Well I really love water and swimming so it's a fun activity to do and it gives Brody a chance to learn to love water too. After swimming lessons, we drove 3 hours to Iowa where a lot of the Mieska crew met up (my mom's family). We had a great weekend swimming at the hotel and visiting outside in the warm October weather! It was great to see everyone and to have all of the kiddos together.

Hendy & Brody
Last weekend Brody got to have a little playtime with Hendy. Hendy is just 1 month and a day older than Brody so it's fun to have the two boys together and get out a truck to play with! They were a bit skeptical of each other as you can see :) For those of you who don't know, Hendy is Kate and Dylan's little boy and Kate is Mike and Shirleen Hieb's daughter and Mike and Shirleen are the family friends that have a cabin near Steve and Cindy's on Burntside and that is who Barry is living with in Duluth....and Hendy is such a cutie!!!

White Coat Ceremony
Saturday was Barry's White Coat Ceremony at the med school in Duluth. Brody and I drove up to Duluth for the weekend and Barry's parents drove down for the day. My friend Kelly watched Brody during the ceremony so we didn't have to worry about him randomly yelling! It was a nice ceremony with good speeches. All 60 students in the class of 2014 received a student white coat and a stethoscope. More pictures to come from the weekend in Duluth.
